Anwsers to the general questions you may have about Speed Dating....
Are there equal numbers of men
and women?
We take alot of time and effort to check and re-check that we do
have even numbers to our Cardiff Speed Dating Events. If you cannot make it to the event, PLEASE, PLEASE
let us know as soon as possible. Just think how much you wouldn't like it if you attended a speed date
session and other people didn't bother to turn up....
How many people will I meet?
While we aim for a minimum of 10 people you will meet on the night, 95% of our events usually consist
of 12-20 guys and 12-20 girls.
What time does the event start and finish?
Our events usually start around 7 for 7:30 and finish up approx at 10:30.
What happens after I register my details?
We sent out group invitations via email every Sunday or Monday letting you know of appropriate upcoming events.
We have events for ages 42+ every 4 months, so if you are in this age group you may not hear from us for a while.
I am keen on attending an event but nervous about going by myself...
This would have to be the most common concern, especially with the girls. Yes it can be a bit stressful
thinking about. Years ago I attended a speed date overseas and was quite nervous so I know exactly how you
feel. The worst thing is actually thinking about: the mind tends to wonder with all the negative and
worse case scenarios. Once you arrive at the venue and look around to see just how "normal" all the other
speed daters are, the nerves will settle. As soon as the speed dating begins all the fears and worry
quickly disappear. 10:30 comes around alot quicker than you had expected and you wonder why you were
ever worried in the first place!!
What sort of people will I meet?
Average, normal people just like me and you. Most of our participants are busy professional
people who value their spare time and can see all the benefits Speed Dating has to offer.
Accountants, teachers, IT workers tend to be our most common professions. We've had numerous doctors and lawyers
come through aswell.
How long will it take before I get my matches?
You will receive your matches within 24 hours of the event finishing.
What shall I wear?
Dress is of a high standard at our Cardiff Speed Dating Events. Jeans, t-shirt and skate shoes are probably
not the ideal solution. Remember first impressions count, go to that extra effort. There will be more
than a few guys who come straight from work in a suit.
What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept either direct deposit or credit card. All payments must be made before the event, please
do not ask if you can pay on the night.
